Transportation: By shinkansen from Tokyo, it takes about 3 hours and 20

minutes; from Kyoto, it takes 55 minutes. By JR express train (Sanyo

Line) from Osaka, it's an hour and from Kobe, 40 minutes. Himeji Castle

is a 15 -minute walk from Himeji Station.
